ON ENERGY BEGINS CONSTRUCTION OF THE TATA COFFEE VSIP II PROJECT

On the morning of March 31, ON Energy held the groundbreaking ceremony for a rooftop solar power project at the Tata Coffee factory in VSIP II Industrial Park.
The Tata Coffee rooftop solar project is funded by Soga Pluto Co., Ltd., with ON Energy Green Energy Joint Stock Company chosen as the general contractor. The project has a capacity of 850.5 kWp.

Once it starts generating power in the second quarter of 2022, the project is expected to produce over 1.2 million kWh of electricity per year and cut CO2 emissions by 100,000 tons annually.

With energy shortages becoming a concern today, installing this rooftop solar system at the Tata Coffee factory will provide a steady power supply for production and business operations once it’s up and running and connected to the national grid. This will also support the country’s economic growth.
