KICK-OFF OF SOLAR POWER PROJECT (PHASE 1) – HAO CANH CERAMICS FACTORY, THAI BINH

On February 9, 2023, ON Energy Green Energy Joint Stock Company held the groundbreaking ceremony for an 858 Kwp rooftop solar power system (Phase 1) at Warehouse 5.3 of Hao Canh Ceramics Manufacturing and Trading Co., Ltd. in Thai Binh.

The rooftop solar project at Hao Canh Factory is funded by SOGA PLUTO with over 15 billion VND. ON Energy was chosen as the main contractor, and the project is expected to be completed by May 2023. It’s estimated to produce about 971.4 MWh of electricity each year and reduce CO2 emissions by 27,456 tons annually.

This is Phase 1 of the project. After finishing this stage, ON Energy plans to install an additional 2.4 MWp system on the roof of Workshop 5.2, bringing the total capacity across both rooftops (5.2 and 5.3) to 3.26 MWp.

With energy shortages being a challenge today, this 3.26 MWp solar system will provide a steady power supply for the factory’s production and business activities once it’s running. It will also support Vietnam’s economic growth.

Plus, the project helps Thai Binh Province reach its goal of becoming a center for modern industrial and socio-economic development. This will improve people’s lives, ensure social stability, and protect the environment.
