GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR THE ROOFTOP SOLAR PROJECT AT TIEN PHONG PLASTICS FACTORY IN CENTRAL VIETNAM – NGHE AN

On the morning of June 6, 2022, ON Energy joined hands to bring green energy to more places with the groundbreaking ceremony for a rooftop solar power project at Tien Phong Plastics Central Co., Ltd., located in Nghi Xa, Nghi Loc, Nghe An. The project is funded by CME SOLAR Investment Joint Stock Company, with ON Energy Green Energy Joint Stock Company serving as the general contractor, supplying equipment, and overseeing construction.

This project has a capacity of 750.6 kWp and uses 1,668 solar panels, with a total investment of over 10 billion VND. Once completed, it will supply on-site electricity for the factory’s production needs, helping ensure a stable power supply and reducing CO2 emissions by 24,019.2 tons.

The rooftop solar project at Tiền Phong Plastics in Central Vietnam is expected to be finished and operational by August 2022. This marks the third solar energy project that ON Energy has started building in Central Vietnam recently.

With Vietnam’s huge potential for rooftop solar power for self-consumption, ON Energy sees supporting customers in developing these projects as a key long-term goal. Rooftop solar offers an efficient power source and a practical solution to meet society’s growing electricity demands.
