Schaeffler Vietnam Co., Ltd., a leading technology group from Germany, has marked a significant milestone in its sustainable manufacturing journey through a partnership with ON Energy Green Energy Joint Stock Company, a leading EPC contractor in the rooftop solar power sector in Vietnam. The project to install a solar power system at the Schaeffler plant in Dong Nai not only demonstrates a strategic vision but also affirms the commitment of both businesses toward a greener future.

Strategic Step Towards a “Green” Factory

The rooftop solar power system, designed and constructed by ON Energy, has a total installed capacity of 2,120.8 kWp, spanning the roof area of the Schaeffler plant. Utilizing advanced photovoltaic cell technology, the project is expected to generate an electricity output of up to 3,061,400 kWh annually.

This clean energy source will be prioritized for the plant’s production activities, contributing significantly to reducing reliance on the national grid and optimizing energy costs. More importantly, the project is estimated to help reduce CO2 emissions by about 2,869 tons annually, equivalent to planting tens of thousands of trees.
